The system consists of two parallel flexible conveyors designed to move products vertically upward or downward. During transportation, the sides of the product are securely held by urethane-coated gripping chains.
Products are fed into the elevator conveyor from a horizontal conveyor line. To prevent contact or collisions during the vertical transition, a minimum spacing equivalent to one product length is recommended between consecutive products. Once the vertical transfer is completed, the products are discharged onto another horizontal conveyor.
The system is suitable for handling products of various sizes and shapes, including boxes, totes, cans, plastic containers, and bottles. The product must have sufficient structural strength to withstand the controlled lateral pressure applied during gripping.
Vertical transfer can be achieved using either a wheel-type corner or a flat-bend corner. Wheel-type corner configurations are generally preferred for products shorter than 100 mm. For quick product-size changeovers, the system can be equipped with a manually adjustable conveyor positioning mechanism. Different configurations may also be used to modify the product’s discharge direction and orientation.
